Dinner and a Performance

A few weeks ago Sean and I invited four couples to accompany us to dinner. We booked our reservations at a traditional restaurant called Da Zhai Men (Great Hall). It was really fun! While we ate dinner, dancers, Beijing opera singers, acrobats, musicians, and Shaolin monk warriors entertained us. We loved the dancers. The girls were so beautiful and elegant performing their cultural dances.
We were amazed with this man. He changed his masks so quickly that we still have no idea where he put them or how he did it. It was so intriguing. The next woman was also impressive. She started out spinning this vase really quickly with complete control. Then she astonished us with her super leg strength. She spun this 300-pound vase (which took five men to lift up onto her legs)! What was even crazier was that she even had a volunteer get into her vase. The show ended with the Shaolin monk warriors. Here is a picture of this guy getting his "chi" ready so he can break a steal bar with his head.
This picture is of another warrior. He is about to send a needle through glass to burst the balloon.
Overall, we were highly entertained and our stomachs were swollen from all the delicious food.
